آيَةُ الْكُرْسى‌ (Surah Al-Baqarah: 255) is a collection of attributes of Gods glory and beauty, which include the attributes of Gods essence such as oneness, life, guardianship, knowledge and power, as well as the attributes of His action such as ownership of the universe and intercession.
This verse is known as the "verse of the throne" because of the phrase "the seat of the heavens and the earth is wide." Some have considered verses 256 and 257 of Surah Al-Baqarah as part of it; But according to the narrations and evidences, Al-Kursi verse is only verse 255 of Baqarah.In narration sources, many features and virtues have been mentioned for this verse, including in some narrations, this verse is considered the best verse of the Quran.
It is recommended to read this verse always and in all cases, especially after prayers, after ablutions, before sleeping, when leaving home, when facing danger and hardship, and so on.
The recitation of this verse is also included in some of the recommended prayers, such as the first night prayer of the grave.
